Watchlists
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Watchlist?
A Watchlist is a tool that lets you track securities and indices that are of interest to you. They can include securities that you own or just those that you want to track and keep an eye on.
How do I set up a Watchlist?
To set up a Watchlist log on to the Watchlist site area - a sub-section of the Market View area. Click 'Create New Watchlist'. You will be asked to give your new Watchlist a name. Your new Watchlist will now be ready for you to use.
How do I add stock to a Watchlist?
Use the Market View and Searches sections of the website to find the securities and / or indices that you're interested in. You'll notice to the right-hand side of the stock listings an 'eye' icon . Simply click the icons to add stocks to your Watchlist.
How often are Watchlists updated?
Watchlist data are updated constantly, though with 15 minutes delayed data. To update your Watchlist, simply click 'Refresh' in the Watchlist submenu in the left menu bar.
How can I fit a Watchlist on one screen?
Expand your browser window to its maximum size. If your Watchlist will still not fit on one page, then you can either remove some of the data columns from your Watchlist, or increase your screen display settings.
To add or remove columns, choose the 'Change Settings' item in the Watchlist submenu in the left menu bar.
Can I use the Watchlist service from My Accounts?
Yes. After you login to your secure account you can still access the other areas of the site, including the Watchlists - there's a permanent link in the Market View section of left menu bar. (After a short period of inactivity within the secure account area you will need to re-input your account number and PIN to reaccess your account.)
I'm a Lloyds TSB Share Dealing customer and I don't want to use a separate login for my Watchlist. Is that possible?
Yes. From My Accounts go to the Administration menu and choose Edit Preferences. Enter the username and password for your Watchlist account and click 'Save Changes' at the bottom. This creates a link so logging into My Accounts in future will automatically give you access to your Watchlists.
Why do I need a separate Watchlist login at all?
There may be situations where you want to check something but you're unwilling or unable to log into your secure account. For instance, you may be using a shared or public access computer or you may be behind a firewall that doesn't allow secure internet connections.
You can still use your Watchlist login to access Watchlists, Analysts' Ratings and other content.
Can I log into My Accounts automatically when I log into a Watchlist?
No. For security reasons we don't allow this.
Can I access the Summary of Analysts' Ratings by logging into my Watchlist?
Yes, if you are a Lloyds TSB Share Dealing customer. From My Account go to the Administration menu and choose Edit Preferences. Enter the username and password for your Watchlist and click 'Save Changes' at the bottom. This creates a link so logging into your Watchlist in future will automatically give you access to customer-only content like the Analysts' Rating Summaries.
Do you do price alerts?
Yes. To receive alerts, enter the security of interest to you into your Watchlist.
In the last column on your Watchlist, you will notice the following icon:
.
Click this icon for the security you are interested in. You will then be given a range of options
to set conditions to trigger alerts. (Note:If you have a mobile phone you can talk to your
network provider about having e-mails sent on as SMS messages.)
